The Scorpion Shear Model # SCR 12016 M

Scorpion Shear Model # SCR 12016 M

Engage Machinery developed the Scorpion shear for customers who need a quality shear, but have limited shop floor space. The Scorpion is designed to return the sheared parts to the front of the machine, which allows you to position it close to a wall.

The Scorpion accommodates CRS sheet metal from 30 to 16 gauge in thickness.
The backgauge measurement device works in conjunction with a pneumatic sheet support table to accurately measure and support parts up to 30 inches in depth, which is 6 inches deeper than most shears in this category. The pneumatic sheet supports hold the material during the complete shearing process and then swing down to lower the cut part onto a rollout wagon.

The Scorpion comes in two basic configurations. The SCR M is a manually set system that is normally kept in stock. The SCR E uses an electromechanical, frequency inverter on the backgauge, to move it to the depth that you enter.
The machine comes standard with telescoping front sheet metal support arms, which can be pushed in by the operator’s legs as the material is walked into the machine.
A 40” left side squaring arm is standard, and longer right or left squaring arms can be
ordered. An optional parts counter is also available.

The Razor Shear Model: RZR 12014

Engage Machinery offers the most affordable powered shearing options in the HVAC sheet metal industry today. The Razor was developed for accuracy, dependability and flexibility.

The Razor uses robust, dependable hydraulics that feature sealed lines, and pressure relief and electrically actuated valves for long life and trouble-free performance.

Independent hydraulic hold-downs ensure that the material is secured a split second before cutting for accuracy. The blades are constructed of high-grade, carbon chrome blades that are designed to last. Hold-downs are neoprene coated so that your parts are mark-free. The upper blade has two edges and the bottom blade has four edges to minimize blade sharpening and maintenance.

The electrical control includes a foot switch with single stroke or continuous operation. All motors and pumps are overload protected and comply with international electrical
standards.

The standard foot operator pedal has a safety switch that is designed to return the blade to the home position when released. Because the Engage Razor Shear comes in a number of lengths and set-up options, you buy only the length you need.

The manual backgauge extends to 24 inches and is coupled with a pneumatic sheet support system that gives you accurate parts time and time again. The pneumatic sheet support can be dropped down for shearing longer parts.

Each Razor comes with four material support arms to help you deal with heavy pieces of sheet metal. But the extras don’t stop there as the machine comes standard with a left side 40 inch squaring arm, taper gauge and front squaring gauge standard.

The Hydraulic Shear Model: SH 5214

Engage also offers heavy duty four foot shearing options for customers who need to shear 10 or 16 gauge. The frames are well-balanced and welded to provide constant rigidity and maximum resistance against deflection over time. Independent hydraulic holddowns ensure that the material is secured for accurate cutting. The blades are made from high-grade, carbon chrome to ensure long life. The machines come with a standard 24 inch backgauge. As the material is heavy there is no need for pneumatic sheet support, making the machines some of the most affordable in the industry.

The Razor Stomp Shear Model: SM 5216

If you’re in the market for a four foot shear, Engage has three solutions to meet any budget: Electromechanical, Air and Foot shears.

Engage foot and air shears feature hardened chromium tool steel blades that help prevent material movement while shearing, prolonging blade life. Both the upper and lower blades have a 2° edge relief and the lower blade has an additional 1° face relief for maximum material penetration with minimal effort.

Engage shears have the most complete adjustment features on the market. The lower blade is fixed to the bed of the shear, and the upper blade is adjustable. The spring-activated hold-down clamps the work piece securely in place and is easily adjustable to change between light and heavy gauge material. There is ample clearance between the hold-down feet and the shear blades to allow good operator vision for line-of-sight cutting. The standard dual Thompson Rail back gauge features scales in both inch and metric measurements, and a hand wheel for fine adjustment, which provides highly accurate readings. The hold-downs on the backgauge ensure that the part is positioned accurately for repeatability.

SFS 4816 Gang Slitter

The Engage Simple Slitter comes with 5 slitting knives with rubber stripper rings and a 3" arbor shaft. The feed table comes equipped with duel left and right squaring arms and a lockable center guide for small width sheets. Comes with 1 HP motor, scale and safety cover.
